January 21 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia will introduce new routes from Belgrade to Trieste and Bologna in Italy in the summer, the company said on Friday.
Belgrade-Trieste scheduled flights will start on June 2, while scheduled flights between Belgrade and Bologna will be launched four days later, Air Serbia said in a statement.
Air Serbia will fly to both cities three times a week. Flights to Bologna will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while flights to the coastal city of Trieste will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the company's statement read.
"The decision to introduce new destinations in Italy is the result of the strategic importance of renewing and strengthening our presence in one of the most visited countries in the world," Bojan Arandjelovic, head of network planning and scheduling at Air Serbia commented.
Earlier this week, Air Serbia announced the introduction of flights to Bari and Venice.
Starting June, the Serbian carrier will operate six routes between the country's capital and Italy.
