November 3 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia will launch direct flights between Belgrade and Tianjin, in northeastern China, on December 9, and plans to add a service to Beijing and Shanghai, the company said on Thursday.
Due to restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the flights to Tianjin will operate once a week, Air Serbia said in a press release.
"Soon we hope to expand our service to other strategically important Chinese cities such as Beijing and Shanghai," said Jirzi Marek, Air Serbia CEO.
Serbia became the first country in the region to have a direct flight to China in July when Hainan Airlines launched direct flights between Belgrade and Beijing.
