May 26 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia is looking to secure traffic rights to launch a service connecting Belgrade to China’s Guangzhou, regional media reported.
“We have secured traffic rights for Shanghai, and we are working on traffic rights to Guangzhou. We will serve one of two. Wherever we manage to secure slots first will be the one we will expand to next,” Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek was quoted as saying by aviation portal EX-YU Aviation on Thursday.
“Once we expand to these cities in China, we will most likely add another destination in North America and, in the near future, we will also look beyond China in the Far East, most likely South Korea and Japan,” Marek added.
Earlier this month, Air Serbia secured traffic rights for a service connecting Belgrade to China’s Shanghai.
