May 5 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia rented two ATR 72-600 airplanes that it will use on regional flights, the company said.
The aircraft will be delivered in May and in June, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The 70-seat airplanes will be used on routes between Belgrade and 17 cities in the region, as well as on scheduled flights between Kraljevo and Istanbul, and Nis and Ljubljana, the statement read.
"We are convinced that the arrival of two more aircraft will further contribute to our operational efficiency and an even better travel experience for our passengers. Continuous improvement of our services and the user experience are our most important priorities and we will continue to develop in this direction in the future," CEO Jiri Marek commented.
The company started a major renewal of its regional fleet in January, which will be completed by the end of 2022.
