February 27 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia is considering the launch of regular flights to Tbilisi after holding talks with Georgia’s airport operator, regional media reported.
“Nonstop flights between the two capital cities would be important for developing economic and cultural ties along with increasing tourist flows,” news portal EX-YU Aviation quoted Irakli Karkashadze, head of United Airports of Georgia, as saying last week.
In 2021, Georgian authorities first held talks over possible services between Belgrade and Tbilisi. The two cities have never been linked with scheduled flights.
