January 19 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia has increased the seat capacity of flights to Montenegro by introducing additional flights and changing the type of aircraft on its routes to Tivat and Podgorica, it said.
Air Serbia will operate additional flights to Tivat on January 23, 27 and 30 while the type of aircraft used on flights to Podgorica was changed, the company said in a statement on Monday.
On flights to Podgorica, the planned turboprop ATR was switched to Airbus A319 jet, while the two planned Airbus A319 aircraft were changed to Airbus A320, which has more seats, Air Serbia said.
"We remain committed to the Montenegrin market, and we will continue monitoring the situation, adapting the volume of traffic to changes in demand. Our goal is to maintain a continuous and strong air connection between cities in the region, and enable all passengers to easily travel to their desired destinations," Air Serbia's commercial and strategy general manager, Jiri Marek, said in the statement.
Last month, Air Serbia said it is increasing the number of flights to Montenegro after Montenegro Airlines halted operations and has engaged additional resources at the airports in Podgorica and Tivat, as well as at its Belgrade hub, in order to serve all passengers.
