BELGRADE (Serbia), December 28 (SeeNews) – Flag carrier Air Serbia is increasing the number of flights to Montenegro after Montenegro Airlines halted operations, it said.
Air Serbia is introducing four additional flights in the coming days, while seven existing flights will be serviced by ATR-72 turbo-prop aircraft instead of Airbus A319 and A320 jets, thus doubling seat capacity, the company said in a statement on Sunday.
The company has engaged additional resources at the airports in Podgorica and Tivat, as well as at its Belgrade hub, in order to serve all passengers, it added.
Montenegro Airlines suspended operations on December 26, two days after the government decided not to provide further financial aid to the company.
