June 8 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Moldova said it has extended the suspension of all flights until June 30 as it is currently undergoing a restructuring.
The decision will allow the company to optimise its workflow, Air Moldova said in a press release on Wednesday.
Passengers whose flights were cancelled will receive e-mail notifications with rebooking and refund options. The airline’s sales office will be temporarily closed, with sales and ticketing staff continuing to provide online support to all passengers and the company's call centre remaining open on a daily basis.
On May 2, Air Moldova filed in court a request for the approval of its expedited restructuring and suspended all flights and ticket sales. Flights were initially suspended until May 15, followed by an extension until June 16, subsequent press releases show.
Since November 2022, Moldova’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has constantly criticised Air Moldova for having major financial problems discovered during earlier investigations and demanded that the company develop a corrective action plan.
Air Moldova was established in 1993 and currently holds approximately half of the air passenger flow registered on the Moldovan market.
