August 29 (SeeNews) - Nihad Imsirovic has been appointed the new managing director at Bosnian retail chain Konzum d.o.o. Sarajevo, a member of the ailing concern Agrokor, the concern said.
Imsirovic's appointment, confirmed by Konzum's supervisory board on Monday, is part of Agrokor's bid to strengthen the management in its companies and promote their business development, Agrokor said in a statement on Tuesday.
Former managing director Tomislav Bagic and executive directors Tomislav Primorac and Kristina Alebic will return to Croatia to new positions within the concern in line with an arrangement with the extraordinary administration of Agrokor.
"After a settlement with Agrokor creditors was reached, we continued to improve the business activities in operational companies which also includes rotating managers within the system in order to strengthen the management of all companies," Agrokor receiver Fabris Perusko is quoted saying. Konzum is a big employer and a partner to numerous suppliers, and its business should be strengthened, he added.
Prior to assuming his new role at Konzum, Imsirevic was managing director of Klas d.d. Sarajevo.
Konzum entered the Bosnian market in 2005. According to Agrokor's website, it is the leading retail chain in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
