April 2 (SeeNews) - AFI Europe Romania said on Tuesday it will soon start works on the second phase of the AFI Tech Park Business Campus project in Bucharest - an investment worth an estimated 37 million euro ($41.4 million).
Once completed, AFI Tech Park campus will become one of the most important compound of offices in the area, as it is easily accessible to employees of the companies that relocated their offices there, AFI Europe Romania said in a press release.
"The next phase of the project will include an eight-storey building. The works will begin in the coming months and will be finalized most likely at the end of next year," AFI Europe Romania CEO Doron Klein said.
AFI Tech Park 1 - the first phase of the project, a Class A + G office building with a total leasable area of 22,000 sq m - was completed in the third quarter of last year. Over 80% of the building is already leased.
Among AFI Tech Park 1 tenants are New Work, Afcon Electra Romania, certSIGN, Game World Group, RTC Proffice Experience, Knauf, Hilti Romania, World Class, WWF and Connect 44.
In March, AFI Europe Romania said that Africa Israel Investments has sold the controlling stake in Africa Israel Properties (AIP), the parent company of AFI Europe. AFI Europe, a subsidiary of AFI Properties, is real estate development, management and investment company, which has been operating in Central and Eastern Europe since 1997.
