January 19 (SeeNews) - Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 8,040 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 14.4 million dinars. Aerodrom Nikola Tesla won 0.79% and closed at 1,793 dinars.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, after gaining 1.0% and closing at 1,920 dinars. A total of 20 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 38,400 dinars
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, rose 0.25% to 775.29 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index increased 0.32%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, increased by 0.05 of a basis point on Friday and closed at 1,648.31 points, after going up 0.11% on Thursday.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip decliners on Friday, as it lost 2.19% and closed at 2,012 dinars. A total of 137 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 275,600 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 22.4 million dinars ($231,332/188,986 euro) on Friday from 28.3 million dinars on Thursday, as 703 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 1.5 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 9.5 million dinars to the total turnover of 31.9 million dinars on the stock exchange.
In the period between January 15 and 19, BELEX15 rose by 0.25%, while BELEXline declined by 0.46%.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between January 15 and 19 was 156.6 million dinars, versus 129.1 million dinars in the previous week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 2.1 billion dinars to the total turnover, versus 9.5 million dinars last week.
