January 18 (SeeNews) - Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] generated the highest turnover and led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,779 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 16.2 million dinars. Aerodrom Nikola Tesla won 1.72% and closed at 1,779 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, rose 0.32% to 773.33 points on Thursday. On Wednesday, the index decreased 0.49%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, increased 0.11% on Thursday and closed at 1,648.26 points, after going up 0.13% on Wednesday.
Soybean processing company Sojaprotein [BEL:SJPT] paced the blue-chip decliners on Thursday, as it lost 2.44% and closed at 400 dinars. A total of 5,001 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 2 million dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 28.3 million dinars ($292,388/238,722 euro) on Thursday from 31.1 million dinars on Wednesday, as 622 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 17,610 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 235.1 million dinars to the total turnover of 263.5 million dinars on the stock exchange.
