January 10 (SeeNews) - Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange and led the blue-chip gainers' list on Wednesday, as share indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 5,968 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 9.9 million dinars. Aerodrom Nikola Tesla won 0.67% and closed at 1,661 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, fell 0.40% to 767.53 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index increased 0.38%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, declined 0.90% on Wednesday and closed at 1,652.49 points, after going up 0.19% on Tuesday.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] paced the blue-chip decliners on Wednesday, as its share price fell 9.0% to 910 dinars. A total of 20 of the lender's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 18,200 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 14.6 million dinars ($147,322/122,782 euro) on Wednesday from 20 million dinars on Tuesday, as 338 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 13,559 dinars.
