January 17 (SeeNews) - Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] was the most traded stock on the Belgrade bourse for a second straight session on Tuesday, as share indices gained ground, stock exchange data showed.
A total of 3,318 shares of Aerodrom Nikola Tesla changed hands on Tuesday as their price declined by 0.27% to a closing value of 1,100 dinars. Aerodrom Nikola Tesla generated a trading turnover of 3.66 billion dinars, the highest one among the blue chips.
On Monday, trading in Aerodrom shares generated a turnover of 4.075 million dinars as their price declined by 2.13% to a closing value of 1,103 dinars. Aerodrom was also the most traded blue chip on Monday with 3,695 shares changing hands.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, gained 0.43% to 715.21 on Tuesday. On Monday, BELEX15 edged down 0.02% to 712.17.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation-weighted index, rose by 0.10% and reached 1,567.93, after increasing 0.36% to 1,566.35 points in the previous session.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the blue-chip gainers on Tuesday, rising 2.71% to a close of 1,745 dinars as only ten shares were traded.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip decliners, shedding 0.39% to 1,800 dinars.
Trading in shares generated 14.76 million dinars ($105,613/99,628 euro) of turnover on Tuesday versus 12.34 million dinars on Monday.
Treasury bonds trading contributed 114.7 million dinars to the bourse total trading turnover of 128.8 million dinars on Tuesday. No Treasury bonds were traded on Monday.
