BELGRADE (Serbia), April 13 (SeeNews) – Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] generated nearly half of the total share turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Thursday, as share indices declined, bourse data showed.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla generated a stock turnover of 7.1 million dinars on Thursday. It was also the most traded stock on the bourse, as 5,466 shares changed hands in 331 transactions. The company was the second-biggest gainer among the blue chips on Thursday, when it added 0.46% to 1,306 dinars.
Industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade bourse on Thursday. The company won 0.95% and closed at 11,100 dinars. Only two shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 22,200 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, declined 0.33% to 732.09 points on Thursday. On Wednesday, the index edged up 0.07% to 734.48.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, went down 0.55% and closed Thursday's session at 1,585.43. The index fell 0.11% to 1,594.22 on Wednesday.
Aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] paced the blue-chip decliners on Thursday, after losing 1.73% to 3,401 dinars. A total of 106 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 360,506 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse fell to 15.6 million dinars ($133,891/126,127 euro) on Thursday from 48.9 million dinars on Wednesday, as a total of 426 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 989,042 dinars on Thursday.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 561.6 million dinars to the session's total trading turnover of 577.1 billion dinars on the bourse. Three transactions of Treasury bonds were carried out on Thursday. A total of 38,817 bonds of the dinar-denominated RSO15105 issue changed hands. The bonds bear a coupon of 10% and mature on March 2, 2018. Investors also traded 12,600 bonds of the dinar-denominated RSO1486 issue, maturing on August 21, 2019, and bearing a coupon of 10%.
In the period between April 10 and 13, BELEX15 won 0.49%, while BELEXline fell by 0.54%. BELEX15 closed two sessions this week in the red and gained ground in two, while BELEXline increased only on Tuesday, and fell in the other three sessions. The Belgrade Stock Exchange will not hold trading sessions on April 14 and 17.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the gainers list among the blue chips this week, as it won 2.84% and closed at 1,700 dinars on Friday. A total of 118 shares in the lender were traded in the period, generating a turnover of 202,245 dinars.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla generated the highest stock turnover of 27 million dinars in the period between April 10 and 13, as 20,795 shares changed hands in 683 deals. Oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS], in turn, was the most traded company. A total of 30,646 shares in the company were traded in 570 deals, generating a turnover of 23.2 million dinars.
Messer Tehnogas paced the blue-chip decliners this week. The company lost 8.26% to 11,100 dinars in a turnover of 6.1 million dinars.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between April 10 and 13 was 107.9 million dinars, versus 98 million dinars in the previous week. Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 2.144 billion dinars to the week's total trading turnover of 2.252 billion dinars on the bourse.
