February 27 (SeeNews) - Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] generated one-third of the total stock turnover on the Belgrade bourse on Monday, as share indices ended mixed, stock exchange data showed.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla generated a stock turnover of 9.5 million dinars on the Belgrade stock market on Monday. The company was also the most traded on the bourse, as a total of 8,094 of its shares changed hands in 69 transactions. Aerodrom Nikola Tesla won 0.26% and closed at 1,178 dinars.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers list on Monday, after adding 1.20% to 760 dinars. The company generated the second highest stock turnover on the bourse, of 3.97 million dinars in 207 deals. NIS was also the second most traded company on the stock exchange on Monday, as 5,233 of its shares changed hands.
NIS said on Monday its net profit rose by 3% in 2016 to 15 billion dinars ($128 million/121 million euro).
Pharma Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] paced the blue-chip decliners, after losing 2.03% to 2,655 dinars. A total of 70 shares in the company changed hands, generating a stock turnover of 185,878 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, rose 0.13% to 716.75 points. On Friday, the index lost 0.19% to 715.80.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, edged down 0.04% and closed Monday's session at 1,563.22 after declining 0.21% to 1,563.89 on Friday.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse fell to 25.2 million dinars ($215,745/203,415 euro) from 30.7 million dinars on Friday. A total of 366 transactions were carried out on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, compared to 303 on Thursday. Trading in shares on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) segment contributed 6.8 million dinars to the share turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Monday.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 12.6 million dinars to Monday's total trading turnover of 37.8 million dinars on the bourse. A total of 100 bonds of the euro-denominated RSO16136 issue changed hands in a single transaction on Monday. The bonds bear a coupon of 1.50% and mature on March 28, 2018.
On Monday, the Belgrade Stock Exchange increased the number of Treasury bonds of the dinar-denominated RSO16142 issue trading on its Prime Listing segment by 446,951 to a total of 6,185,382. The bonds bear a coupon of 5.75% and will mature on July 21, 2023.
