TIRANA (Albania), December 18 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said it selected local construction company HE&SK11 for the supervision of civil works in northern Albanian Alps area and southwestern Vlora region.
The estimated value of the contract is 6.8 million leks ($62,120/54,926 euro), exempt of value added tax (VAT), ADF said in a statement on Monday.
The project will be financed with the proceeds of a Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) loan.
HE&SK11 was ranked first among 2 candidates in a consultant’s qualification selection procurement procedure. The assignment must be completed in 10 months.
“The consultant will supervise civil works that will be carried out in the frame of this project, including monitoring, inspection and reporting activities,” the ADF added.
The assignment is part of a major project for the development of the Albanian Alps and coastal areas, co-financed with a 28.7 million euro loan from CEB and a contribution of 6.0 million euro from the Albanian government.
ADF is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
