June 22 (SeeNews) - Pharmacy chain A&D Pharma – Dr.Max Group has leased a 35,000 sq m warehouse in CTPark Mogosoaia industrial park in Bucharest for over 30 million euro ($31.7 million), Czech real estate developer CTP said on Wednesday.
The built-to-suit warehouse is the largest pharmaceutical storage facility in Romania, CTP said in a press release.
"With over 4,500 pharmacies serviced throughout the country and over 200 million of units processed annually, the storage capacity and quality are essential for our business. We continue to make long term investments and to develop in order to respond to the needs of our patients and partners," A&D Pharma – Dr.Max Group CEO Cezar Zaharia said.
"With an investment of over 30 million euro, the new National Logistic Center is a state-of-art project, being the first semi-automatic collection line on the pharmaceutical distribution and one of the largest pharmaceutical warehouses in Central and Eastern Europe," Zaharia added.
Now, CTPark Mogosoaia is fully leased to A&D Pharma – Dr.Max Group.
"Our cooperation with A&D Pharma – Dr.Max Group started in 2020 and in less than two years, we successfully delivered over 45,000 sq m in two locations, Bucharest and Sibiu, while CTPark Mogosoaia is definitely a flagship warehouse both for us and for A&D Pharma - Dr.Max Group," CTP Romania country head Ana Dumitrache said.
Besides CTPark Mogosoaia, CTP owns five more industrial parks in Bucharest.
CTP is Continental Europe’s largest owner, developer and manager of logistics and industrial real estate by gross lettable area, owning over 9.3 million sq m of space in ten countries as of end-March.
Pharmacy chain Dr.Max, owned by Czech investment fund Penta, signed an agreement to buy Romania's largest pharmaceutical group A&D Pharma at the end of 2017. A&D Pharma now operates two business lines in Romania: Dr.Max and Sensiblu pharmacies and pharmaceuticals distributor Mediplus Exim.
