August 2 (SeeNews) - Dublin-based professional services firm Accenture said on Tuesday that it has agreed to acquire the Bulgarian, Belgian and Dutch businesses of the Netherlands-headquartered managed cloud services provider Sentia.

The acquisition does not include Sentia's Danish business, which will continue to operate independently under the Sentia brand, with Dutch investor Waterland Private Equity as its main shareholder.
The transaction will bolster Accenture's Cloud First business, expanding its capabilities for the provision of end-to-end cloud infrastructure services for public, private and sovereign clouds. It is also seen to broaden the New York-listed company's strategic infrastructure engineering and emerging technologies capabilities across Europe.
A combined workforce of about 310 across the Netherlands, Belgium and Bulgaria will join Accenture Cloud First post closing.
Founded in 2000, Sentia provides cloud managed services, cloud security services and cloud infrastructure migration. The company also offers digital experience monitoring services that analyse, track and predict enterprise applications and cloud services from an end user's point of view. Sentia has been present in Bulgaria since 2018.
The vendor's activities span sectors such as finance and fintech, pharmaceuticals, software and technology, retail and logistics, media and publishing as well as manufacturing and utilities. Clients include Swiss insurer Helvetia, Dutch Sligro Food Group and fintech Allshare.
