January 15 (SeeNews) - ABB Bulgaria, part of Zurich-headquartered power and automation company ABB, said on Monday it has appointed Marcel van der Hoek as its new country managing director, replacing Ekkehard Neureither.
Ekkehard Neureither, who spent five years as a country leader in Bulgaria, is taking new responsibilities within ABB, the company said in a statement.
Marcel van der Hoek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Rotterdam University in the Netherlands.
Previously, van der Hoek held the position of country manager for Slovakia for six years.
ABB Bulgaria has four production facilities and a turbocharger service centre. It employs over 2,500 people in the country.
