SKOPJE (North Macedonia), October 21 (SeeNews) – A1 Telekom Austria Group said the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of its subsidiary in North Macedonia fell by 4.6% on the year to 31.8 million euro ($37.7 million) in the first nine months of 2020.
A1 Makedonija's total revenues decreased by 2.8% year-on-year to 88.9 million euro, A1 Telekom Austria Group said in an interim financial statement on Tuesday.
Service revenues dropped by 1.9% to 72.9 million euro, as mobile service revenues went down 1.2% to 55.6 million euro and fixed-line service revenues decreased by 4.1% to 17.3 million euro.
The number of the company's wireless subscribers totalled 1.07 million at the end of September, fewer than 1.125 million a year earlier.
A1 Makedonija competes with T-Mobile Macedonia, part of Deutsche Telekom, on a market of some two million people.
