LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 12 (SeeNews) – A1 Telekom Austria Group said its Slovenian unit posted an annual decline of 0.6% in its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in 2020 -- to 58.7 million euro ($80 million).
A1 Slovenija’s revenue went down 2.1% to 205 million euro, the telecommunications group said in an interim financial statement on Thursday.
Service revenues in particular were down 1.7% to 155.1 million euro in 2020, while the total capital expenditures (CAPEX) of A1 Slovenija in 2020 decreased by 28% to 17.7 million euro.
The number of A1 Slovenija's wireless subscribers edged up by an annual 0.1% to 707,100 at end-December.
A1Slovenija, previously Si.mobil, is the second-largest mobile operator in the country after Mobitel, a unit of state-owned Telekom Slovenije. It also competes with smaller peers such as United Group's Telemach (formerTusmobil), T-2, and HOT Mobil (Hofer), among others.
