LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 21 (SeeNews) – A1 Telekom Austria Group said its Slovenian unit posted an annual rise of 1.2% in its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in the first nine months of 2020 -- to 44.4 million euro ($52.6 million).
A1 Slovenija’s revenue declined 2.0% to 152.1 million euro, the telecommunications group said in an interim financial statement on Tuesday.
Service revenues in particular were down 2.5% on the year to 115.8 million euro in the first nine months of 2020.
The total capital expenditures (CAPEX) of A1 Slovenija in the first nine months of 2020 decreased by 5.9% year-on-year to 11.1 million euro.
The number of A1 Slovenija's wireless subscribers edged down by an annual 0.1% to 702,900 at end-September, while the number of fixed lines increased 10.1% to 30,900.
A1 Slovenija, previously Si.mobil, is the second-largest mobile operator in the country after Mobitel, a unit of state-owned Telekom Slovenije. It also competes with smaller peers such as United Group's Telemach (former Tusmobil), T-2, and HOT Mobil (Hofer), among others.
