February 12 (SeeNews) - A1 Telekom Austria Group said the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of its Serbian unit Vip Mobile went up 5.0% to 87.6 million euro ($105.9 million) in 2020.
The Serbian unit's total revenue edged up 0.8% to 286.2 million euro in 2020, Telekom Austria said in a financial statement published on Thursday.
In the fourth quarter of 2020 alone, the EBITDA of Telekom Austria's Serbian unit grew 20.7% on the year to 23.8 million euro, while its revenue edged down 0.2% to 75.7 million euro.
The number of wireless subscribers went down 0.2% year-on-year to 2.35 million at end-December.
Vip Mobile's main competitors are Telenor Serbia and state-owned MTS.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, A1 Telekom Austria is present in Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia and Slovenia.
