October 21 (SeeNews) - A1 Telekom Austria Group said the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of its Serbian unit Vip Mobile edged up 0.2% year-on-year to 63.9 million euro ($75.8 million) in the first nine months of 2020.
The Serbian unit's total revenue increased 1.2% on the year to 210.4 million euro in the nine months through September, Telekom Austria said in an interim financial statement published on Tuesday.
In the third quarter of 2020 alone, the EBITDA of Telekom Austria's Serbian unit fell 6.4% on the year to 22.8 million euro, while its revenue edged down 0.2% to 73.7 million euro.
The number of wireless subscribers went down 0.2% year-on-year to 2.33 million at end-September.
Vip Mobile's main competitors are Telenor Serbia and state-owned MTS.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, A1Telekom Austria is present in Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia and Slovenia.
