June 8 (SeeNews) - A1 Telekom Austria Group said that its Serbian unit, A1 Serbia, has agreed to acquire part of the fiber infrastructure of local provider Conexio.
As agreed between the parties, details regarding the transaction will not be released, A1 Telekom Austria Group said in a press release on Wednesday.

Completion of the transaction is subject to merger control clearance.
A1 Serbia will acquire a total of approximately 850 km of gage piping which will close the gap between the A1 markets of Croatia and Bulgaria, while also providing routes to Hungary and North Macedonia. After the completion of the transaction, A1 Group will be able to lay fiber in the pipes and close the existing network infrastructure gap.
A1's international operations also include Belarus, Croatia, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.
