September 9 (SeeNews) - Telecommunications company A1 Bulgaria, part of A1 Telekom Austria Group, has been awarded a 4.1 million levs ($2.5 million/2.1 million euro) software services deal by local company Information Services, the contractor said on Wednesday.
The contract was signed on August 21, Information Services said in a notice.
Under the terms of the deal, A1 Bulgaria will be responsible for providing software network maintenance needed for an upgrade of the IT systems of Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency.
The public procurement procedure for awarding the contract attracted two offers.
Sofia-based Information Services is a key partner of state institutions in the implementation of information and communication technology (ICT) projects.
A1 Bulgaria competes with Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC), which operates under the Vivacom brand name, and Telenor Bulgaria, owned by Dutch-registered investment group PPF.
