July 8 (SeeNews) - Romanian co-working space operator 3house said on Monday it has invested 900,000 euro ($1.01 million) in the expansion of its 3house Universitate co-working site in central Bucharest in response to rising demand.
3house has now more than tripled the surface of its Universitate co-working space to 1,700 square metres, the company said in a press release, adding that the site had reached 90% occupancy prior to the expansion.
"Soon we will open our first bistro café in this location, and we will replicate this concept at the future Floreasca 3house project," 3house CEO and founder Vlad Craioveanu said.
The company also plans to add 3,400 sq m of co-working space to Skanska's equilibrium office building in Floreasca area, in Bucuresti, this autumn.
At the end of 2019, 3house expects to operate a total area of over 5,000 sq m of co-working space.
3house a concept developed by Romanian entrepreneurs Vlad Craioveanu and Ilinca Paun. It started activity on the Romanian market in December 2018.
