November 3 (SeeNews) - Montenegrin state-controlled wine producer 13 Jul-Plantaze [MNG:PLAP] led the blue-chip gainers on the Montenegrin stock exchange in October, as stock indices ended down, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange, MNSE10, closed down 2.27% in October at 777.23 points.
The benchmark MONEX index, which tracks the 20 most representative shares on the Montenegro Stock Exchange, went down 0.62% in October and closed at 11,244.66 points.
A total of 15,632 of 13 Jul-Plantaze's shares changed hands in turnover of 1,882 euro in October. 13 Jul-Plantaze won 0.50% to 0.1204 euro.
State-controlled power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) [MNG:EPCG] paced the blue-chip decliners in October, as its share price fell 6.25% on the month to 3.2152 euro. A total of 3,164 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 10,173 euro.
The bourse's total turnover rose in October to 5.814 million euro ($6.732 million) from 590,725 euro a month earlier.
A total of 118 transactions were concluded on the bourse in Podgorica in October, versus 121 in September. Stock market capitalisation was 3.207 billion euro at the end of October, the same as a month earlier.
