PODGORICA (Montenegro), January 2 (SeeNews) – Montenegrin state-controlled wine producer 13 Jul-Plantaze [MNG:PLAP] led the blue-chip gainers on the Montenegrin stock exchange in December, as stock indices ended down, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange, MNSE10, closed December at 777.61 points, down 1.46% month-on-month.
The benchmark MONEX index, which tracks the 20 most representative shares on the Montenegro Stock Exchange, declined 2.12% in December and closed at 11,403.61 points.
13 Jul-Plantaze rose the most among the blue chips in December, adding 7.90% month-on-month to 0.1061 euro, as 12,831 of its shares changed hands in three transactions. The company generated a share turnover of 1,362 euro.
Port of Adria [MNG:KOGE], the operator of a cargo and cruise dock at Bar harbour, paced the blue-chip decliners in December, as its share price fell 5.05% on the month to 0.1011 euro. A total of 50,142 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 5,068 euro.
Тhe bourse's total turnover declined in December to 4.6 million euro ($5.2 million) from 20.6 million euro a month earlier.
A total of 267 transactions were concluded on the bourse in Podgorica in December, versus 273 in November. Stock market capitalisation was 3.455 billion euro at the end of December, down from 3.475 billion euro a month earlier.
