1954 - The Chelopech copper mine is opened.
Apr 20, 1989 - State-owned DF Polimet, engaged in extracting and processing of non-ferrous ores, is established with a capital of BGL 567.793 mln. Chelopech mining and enrichment plant starts operations as part of DF Polimet.
Dec 10, 1991 - State-owned limited liability company Chelopech EOOD is established as a successor of DF Polimet.
Feb 5, 1996 - Chelopech EOOD transforms into a joint stock company, majority-owned by the state.
June 8, 1999 - Bulgaria's Privatisation Agency sells 75% in Chelopech EAD to Navan Bulgarian Mining BV, a subsidiary of Irish Navan Mining PLC, for BGN 5.05 mln.
Sept 14, 1999 - Chelopech AD changes its name to Navan Chelopech AD.
June 16, 2000 - Bulgaria's Privatisation Agency sells 0.57% in Navan Chelopech AD to individuals for BGN 33,204 via a mass privatisation process.
End-2002 - Navan Mining PLC is declared insolvent and placed under receivership. Deutsche Bank AG is appointed receiver. Canadian investment company Dundee Precious Metals Inc. is selected as the best bidder.
July 25, 2003 - Bulgaria's Privatisation Agency sells 24.43% in Navan Chelopech AD to Navan Bulgarian Mining BV for EUR 133,192.
Sept 30, 2003 - Dundee Precious Metals Inc., through its fully-owned subsidiary Dundee Precious Acquisition Inc., acquires Navan Bulgarian Mining BV.
Dec 9, 2003 - The company renames to Chelopech Mining AD from Navan Chelopech AD.
May 11, 2004 - Dutch-based company Dundee Precious (Chelopech) BV acquires 100% of Chelopech Mining AD.
Sept 14, 2005 - The company increases its capital to BGN 16,380,723 from BGN 380,723.
Oct 25, 2005 - Chelopech Mining EAD and Bulgarian copper mining company Asarel-Medet AD, copper and gold mining company Ellatzite Med AD, copper smelter Aurubis Bulgaria AD (formerly known as Cumerio Med AD), Panagyuirshe and Pirdop municipalities and individuals set up Industrial Cluster Srednogorie, in Pirdop, western Bulgaria.
Dec 9, 2005 - Chelopech Mining EAD takes over the non-ferrous ore extracting company Bimak EAD.
June 2, 2013 - The company EAD changes its name to Dundee Precious Metals Chelopech EAD.
Jul 21, 2017 - Dundee Precious Metals Chelopech EAD establishes its wholly-owned local subsidiary Private English Language Secondary School Chelopech EOOD.
