May 2 (SeeNews) - Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) said on Thursday that its after-tax profit in Albania rose to 21 million euro ($22.5 million) in the first quarter of 2024, up from 18 million euro in the same period of last year.
Net interest income rose 27% year-on-year to 31 million euro, while net fee and commission income rose 26% at 6 million-euro, RBI said in an interim financial report.
Operating income grew 30% on the year to 38 million euro in the January-March period.
Raiffeisen Bank Albania was the third largest lender in terms of assets among 11 Albanian banks in the fourth quarter, according to the Albanian banks' association.
RBI said in January that its after-tax profit from operations in Albania rose 90% to 60 million euro in 2023.
