April 30 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Makedonski Telekom [MSE:TEL] said on Tuesday that its net profit grew 15% on the year in the first quarter of 2024, reaching 550.7 million denars ($9.6 million/8.9 million euro).
Makedonski Telekom's operating revenue edged up 2% on the year to nearly 3 billion denars, while operating costs were 2% higher at 2.4 billion denars in the quarter under review, the telecommunications company said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse.
Domestic sales increased by an annual 3% to 2.9 billion denars, while sales abroad added 6% to 116.9 million denars in the January-March period.
Makedonski Telekom's shares last traded at an average price of 421 denars on April 26 on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), according to the latest available bourse data.
