April 7 (SeeNews) - Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) share indices rose on Wednesday, with food, beverages and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR-R-A] pacing the blue-chip winners, bourse data showed.
Podravka's shares closed at 556 kuna, up 1.09%, ZSE data showed.
Hotel operator Arena Hospitality Group [ZSE:ARNT] was the sole loser among the blue-chips on Wednesday, with shares closing down 1.23% at 322 kuna.
Among the remaining eight blue-chips, five rose and three closed flat on Wednesday.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] generated the highest turnover on the bourse on Wednesday among the blue-chips - of 642,768 kuna ($101,000/84,841 euro). The telco's shares closed 0.52% higher at 193.5 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 3.5 million kuna on Wednesday from 5.7 million kuna on Tuesday.
The ZSE's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index rose 0.30%, closing at 1,881.26 points on Wednesday, after edging down 0.05% the previous trading day.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, closed at 1,183.39 points on Wednesday, up 0.48%, after falling 0.17% on Tuesday.
