September 24 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on Thursday, after rising for three trading days in a row, as consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] paced the blue-chip losers, bourse data showed.
Atlantic Grupa's shares lost 1.56%, closing at 1,260 kuna, ZSE data showed.
Food producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] led the blue-chip gainers for a second straight day, closing at 456 kuna, up 1.79%. The company generated 4 million kuna of Thursday's turnover on the ZSE, including a 2.1 million kuna block transaction.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] generated Thursday's highest turnover of 4.3 million kuna. The day before, trading in the telco's shares resulted in a turnover of 6.6 million kuna, including a 3.7 million kuna block transaction.
Shares of Hrvatski Telekom closed at 177 kuna on Thursday, down 0.56%.
Four of the ten blue-chip companies rose on Thursday, while six fell.
The ZSE's total trading turnover increased to 12.2 million kuna ($1.9 million/1.6 million euro) on Thursday, from 11.8 million kuna on Wednesday.
The bourse's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index fell 0.45% to 1,638.11 on Thursday after rising 1.64% on Wednesday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, decreased 0.22% to 1,024.47 after gaining 1.69% on Wednesday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed 0.08% lower at 112.2898.
