January 28 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended on positive territory on Friday, recovering from losses they suffered the day before, as shipping companies posted strong gains, bourse data showed.
The 21-share blue-chip CROBEX edged up 0.09% to end at 2,125.65 points. The narrower CROBEX10 index which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, gained 0.27% to end at 1,296.38 points.
Shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] contributed the largest turnover for the day, of 1.1 million kuna ($163,000/146,000 euro). Its share price surged 4.03% to close at 387 kuna. In lower turnovers, shares of shipping companies Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL] and Alpha Adriatic [ZSE:ULPL] gained 4.08% and 3.92%, respectively.
Shares of blue-chip Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] added 0.27% to end at 184.50 kuna in a turnover of 491,000 kuna.
Power transmission equipment manufacturer Dalekovod [ZSE:DLKV] lost 15.48% to end at 71 kuna in a turnover of some 479,000 kuna.
The ZSE's total turnover fell to 4.9 million kuna 6.4 million kuna on Thursday.
