April 8 (SeeNews) - Stock trading turnover on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) totalled 133.1 million kuna in March, down from 518.2 million kuna ($81.2 million/68.3 million euro) in the same month last year, bourse data showed.
Total orderbook turnover fell to 143.1 million kuna from 536.2 million kuna in March 2020, the bourse data showed earlier this week.
Stock turnover was down 6.2% on a monthly comparison basis in March.
The ZSE had a total market capitalisation from stock trading of 143.3 billion kuna at the end of March, up 13.6% year-on-year. On a monthly comparison basis, total market capitalisation was up 0.8%.
The number of stock transactions decreased to 7,622 in March 2021 from 25,729 in March 2020. There were 9,195 stock trades in February 2021.
The ZSE's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index added 2.30% in March to a closing reading of 1,872.22 at the end of the month.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 3.93% in March, as its closing value on the last trading day in the month was 1,177.04 points.
