October 19 (SeeNews) - The Croatian share indices closed mostly down on Wednesday as turnover jumped, bourse data showed.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) edged down 0.04% to 1,981.71 points after increasing by 0.55% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, lost 0.49% to 1,146.96, after rising by the same rate in the previous session.
Total daily turnover on the bourse jumped to 30.3 million kuna ($4.4 million/4 million euro) from 9.7 million kuna on Tuesday.
Shipping firm Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL-R-A] paced the CROBEX gainers, advancing 6.96% to 282.83 kuna.
Shipping company Uljanik Plovidba [ZSE:ULPL-R-A] led the CROBEX decliners, losing 4.99% to 137.27 kuna.
The preferred shares of diversified conglomerate Adris Grupa [ZSE:ADRS-P-A] generated the session's biggest turnover of 9.5 million kuna. The stock closed down 0.11% to 456.07 kuna as 20,850 shares changed hands.
The fixed-income CROBIS index rose 0.30% to 109.6781 points.
