PRISTINA (Kosovo), November 23 (SeeNews) – Austrian insurance group UNIQA said its pre-tax profit from operations in Kosovo dropped to 200,000 euro ($238,000) in the first nine months of 2020 from 500,000 euro in the like period of the previous year.
Total gross written premiums from operations in Kosovo were flat on an annual comparison basis at 10.1 million euro in the January-September period, UNIQA said in a nine-month financial report published last week.
Gross written premiums in the non-life insurance segment increased 13% to 8.1 million euro in the period under review, while premiums from life insurance fell by 4% to 800,000 euro. Health insurance premiums were down 43% year-on-year at 1.2 million euro.
UNIQA Group is represented by two companies in Kosovo - SIGAL UNIQA Group AUSTRIA and SIGAL Life UNIQA Group AUSTRIA.
