March 5 (SeeNews) - Turkey manufactured 106,176 motor vehicles in January, down 3.3% on an annual comparison basis, data from the country's Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) showed.
The figure comprises the number of passenger cars, commercial vehicles and tractors.
Passenger car production alone decreased by 8.8% on the year to 68,777 units in January, while commercial vehicle output rose 8.8% to 37,399 units, OSD said.
Turkey's motor vehicle exports totaled 77,569 units in the month under review, down from 89,962 in January 2020. Total export income fell 6.4% year-on-year to $2.3 billion (1.9 billion euro) in January.
