September 29 (SeeNews) - Societe Generale Banka Srbija has opened a new, 10,000 sq m office building in Belgrade following a 14 million euro ($15.7 million) investment, according to Serbian media reports.
The new business facility, a so-called smart building, has a capacity of 420 employees. It was built in partnership with local construction co Imel Group, news agency Tanjug reported late on Wednesday.
The modern A-class high rise building was planned in line with the latest architectural trends and will, in addition to office space, offer employees a gym with a capacity of 150 people.
The smart building meets the highest environmental standards and contains a mini electrical power plant, a parking lot with solar chargers for electric cars and a special rainwater recuperation system.
Paris-based banking group Societe Generale has operated in Serbia for nearly four decades. It has more than 1,300 employees and 100 branches throughout the country.
