September 30 (SeeNews) - Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] said it raised its own shareholdings to 5.315% from 5.296% after repurchasing 6,159 of its shares for an overall 540,114 euro ($527,356) on the Ljubljana bourse on Friday.
Krka bought 1,105 shares at 90.71 euro each on September 23, a further 1,147 shares at 88.68 euro each on September 26, 1,216 shares at 87.50 euro on September 27, 1,319 shares at 86.39 euro on September 28, as well as 1,372 shares at 85.88 euro each on September 29, it said in a bourse filing.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,742,868 of its own shares. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,736,709 own shares.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July 2020, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
