November 30 (SeeNews) - Shares in Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] closed 11.06% higher at 1.145 euro on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on Wednesday after the Slovenian logistics company reported an upswing in profit.
Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated the largest turnover among the blue-chip companies, of 948,410 euro ($1.0 million), as the company's share price fell the most.
Intereuropa announced earlier on Wednesday that its consolidated net profit soared to 3.1 million euro in the first nine months of 2016 from 662,000 euro in the like period of last year.
Krka's shares shed 2.53% to a closing price of 50 euro.
Household appliances maker Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] was the top blue-chip gainer, adding 2.92% to 5.99 euro, in turnover of 84,250 euro. On Tuesday, Gorenje's shares fell 3% to 5.82 euro.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, closed 0.45% lower at 690.72 points after dropping 0.53% on Tuesday.
Four blue-chip companies closed lower on Wednesday, two ended in positive territory, and one was unchanged.
Total turnover on the LJSE rose to 2.7 million euro on Wednesday from 1.96 million euro on Tuesday.
