LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), July 30 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's consumer prices grew by 2.0% year-on-year in July, after rising by 1.4% in June, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices rose by 0.4% in July, following a 0.6% increase in June, the statistical office said in a statement.
In annual terms, the largest upward impact on the annual inflation of 1.2 percentage points (pps) each came from the higher prices of petroleum products (liquid fuel prices increased by 5.6%, diesel prices by 3.8% and petrol prices by 4.6%).
On the other hand, the inflation was pushed down by the 5.9% lower prices of package holidays, which contributed 0.5 pp.
In monthly terms, inflation was pushed up the most, by 0.4 pp, by the higher prices of package holidays, up 12.9%.
In the first seven months of 2021, the CPI went up by 0.9%.
Measured by the EU's harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), Slovenia recorded annual inflation of 2.0% in July.
