LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 19 (SeeNews) – The Bank of Slovenia has launched an invitation for expressions of interest for a consulting company to enhance the regulation of Slovenian banks' risk appetite and the capacity of banks to implement it, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Monday.
The expected outcome of this assignment is improved capacity of the Bank of Slovenia to assess risk appetite of Slovenian banks and upgraded knowledge of Slovenian banks’ staff on best risk appetite practices in the European Union (EU), the lender said in a statement.
The tender was launched via the EBRD, after the Bank of Slovenia requested the EBRD provide it with technical assistance for developing guidelines to be implemented by Slovenian banks in defining effective risk appetite frameworks, as well as developing a new approach for assessing adequacy of risk appetite frameworks, in accordance with the best supervisory practices in the EU.
The selected consultant is expected to assist the Bank of Slovenia in order to reach the outcome of the project.
The assignment is expected to start in February 2017 and has an estimated overall duration of 12 months.
The cost estimate for the assignment is 150,000 euro ($156,500).
The deadline for the submission of bids is January 16.
