September 27 (SeeNews) - Telecom operator Serbia Broadband (SBB) is expected to obtain in November regulatory approval to acquire local peer IKOM which will see it become one of the major telecommunications operators in Southeast Europe (SEE), Belgrade-based media reported on Tuesday.
SBB submitted a registration of the concentration to Serbia's competition council on September 13, however the council has since sought further documents pertaining to the state of the country's telecommunications market, primarily of that in Belgrade, news agency Beta reported.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
SBB is part of United Group and an investment fund, KKR, which owns the group. It is the leading digital and analog cable TV, broadband internet and landline phone system operator in Serbia.
