BELGRADE (Serbia), June 20 (SeeNews) – Serbia hopes to launch exports of pork and dairy products to China by the end of 2019, agriculture minister Branislav Nedimovic said.
Serbia has signed a memorandum of understanding with China on exports of food products, which would open the way for sales of Serbian pork meat and dairy products in the Asian country, Nedimovic said earlier this week, according to a press release by Serbia's agriculture ministry.

The two countries will also sign a phytosanitary protection agreement and the first Chinese inspections in Serbia will be carried out in the coming months, Nedimovic said.
"The signing of these documents is a strategic matter for Serbia in the field of agriculture due to the opening of the Chinese market for pork and dairy products," he added.
Last year, Serbia resumed exports of beef to China after a 30-year break.
