December 4 (SeeNews) - Serbia and Kosovo will resume on December 10 in Brussels technical-level talks on the normalisation of their relations, EU spokesman Peter Stano said on Friday.
"I can confirm that there is an idea to have the meeting at the level of chief negotiators in Brussels, in person, next Thursday," Stano said in a video file posted on the media portal of the European Commission.
The agenda will be announced shortly before the meeting takes place, Stano said.
In September, Miroslav Lajcak, the EU special representative for the dialogue for normalisation of Belgrade - Pristina relations, cancelled a meeting of negotiators from Serbia and Kosovo due to the coronavirus pandemic. The agenda of the meeting included discussions on arrangements for non-majority communities, including the establishment of a Community of Serb-majority municipalities.
A clause envisaging the integration of the Serb-majority municipalities in northern Kosovo into the Kosovo legal system is included in the Brussels Agreement on the normalisation of relations between Serbia and Kosovo, signed in April 2013. The clause has not been fulfilled by the government in Prisina so far.
The Pristina-Belgrade dialogue, launched in 2010, aims for the parties to achieve a comprehensive legally binding agreement solving all outstanding issues in order for Serbia and Kosovo to progress on their European integration path.
