August 29 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 22,016 building permits for residential projects in January-July, down 1.1% year-on-year, the national statistics board, INS, said on Monday.
A drop in the number of construction permits released for residential buildings in the seven-month period was reported in all development regions except the West, North-West and Center regions.
In July alone, Romania issued 3,569 building permits, down 4.1% on the month and 10.1% from a year earlier. As many as 57% of the permits issued last month were for projects located in Romania's rural areas.
