January 17 (SeeNews) - U.S.-based money transfer company MoneyGram said on Tuesday its services will be offered at the petrol stations of Austrian oil and gas company OMV in Bulgaria under a deal which MoneyGram's local partner, financial company Factor I.N., signed with OMV Bulgaria.
"Customers sending and receiving money in Bulgaria can now use one of 84 locations," MoneyGram said in a press release. They will be able to send and receive international money transfers as well as from one filing station to another in Bulgaria.
According to the World Bank’s estimations, quoted by MoneyGram, in 2016 in total $1.5 billion (1.4 billion) flowed to Bulgaria amounting to 2.9% of country’s GDP a year earlier. Remittances mainly came from Turkey, Spain and Germany.
